Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Accounting Manager to support a major organizational transition from our legacy Microsoft Dynamics platform to SAP S/4HANA. Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth, accurate daily accounting operations while the company operates in a dual ERP environment. You'll oversee transactional accounting, maintain compliance, and support system-related process improvements throughout the SAP S/4HANA implementation.

This role is highly impactful - offering critical operational coverage during the transition, with the expectation of evolving into a long-term leadership position post-implementation.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Operate effectively within a dual ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics and SAP S/4HANA)
  • Manage and support the monthly close process
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and reconciliations
  • Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare balance sheet and P&L analyses during month-end close
  • Assist with system testing, data validation, and process alignment for SAP implementation
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Develop process flowcharts and accounting procedures for both SAP S/4HANA and legacy systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA required; MBA with CPA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
  • Demonstrated experience leading the month-end close process in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or SAP (SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting ERP transitions or dual-system environments
  • Manufacturing or regulated manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to report onsite at any company facility as needed, sometimes with short notice
